Our neon paints are fluorescent and will glow when exposed to a UV-Blacklight. These same pigments make the colors bright neon under normal lighting conditions.
Like all our oil paints our neon colors are made using only the finest pigments and without adding any fillers to maintain the pigments' natural qualities and ensure the highest possible pigment loads.
The pigments used in making fluorescent paints have their own unique qualities. All neon colors are beautifully transparent. The paints will have a fine grainy texture and have a tendency to separate from the oil. Applying the paint in a thick layer may result in a powdery texture that will take a long time to dry and may crack if touched.
Fluorescent colors are not colorfast by their nature. Humidity, temperature, and light exposure will affect the duration of the fluorescent properties and brightness of the paint in daylight. Read more about their lightfastness here.

Hi Chris! The neons are different than traditional oil colors as we mention on our website. They do have a tendency to separate more and since we do not want to add fillers, you will often notice the separation when using your paints after a long time of resting. Please return your paint to us and we can issue a full refund as we stand by the quality of our paints.
